Meet Lisa Jackson

Hypnotherapy transformed my life, which is why I'm passionate about sharing it with others. I initially discovered hypnosis when I was looking for a way to lose weight and, having successfully lost 3.5st, I decided to qualify as a clinical hypnotherapist. Twelve years on, I now have a flourishing practice in south London (Croydon).

Before becoming a hypnotherapist I studied English, Psychology and Linguistics at the University Of Cape Town, South Africa, and worked as a journalist on Cosmopolitan magazine before spending 11 years on Zest, a health and fitness magazine.

I'm a keen runner, and in 2003 I co-authored Running Made Easy, which has sold over 100,000 copies and became Britain's bestselling beginner's running book, reaching number 13 in Amazon's list of the world's bestselling sports books. My latest book, Your Pace Or Mine? What Running Taught Me About Life, Laughter And Coming Last, detailing my journey from fitness-phobe to 100 Marathon Club member, was published in 2016 and reached #1 in Amazon's 'Running & Jogging' and 'Athletics Biographies'categories. I'm currently Contributing Editor on Women's Running magazine and have written articles for numerous UK magazines and national newspapers. My second book, Adore Yourself Slim, was published in January 2011 by Simon & Schuster.

I am a Certified HypnoBirthing: The Mongan Method™ Practitioner and HypnoBirthing Fertility Therapist with the HypnoBirthing Institute and have trained as a doula (birth companion) with the world-renowned birth pioneer Michel Odent. I am a member of the Maternity Services Liaison Committee at Croydon University Hospital.

I am a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register and have been awarded The General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice by The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. Members adhere to a code of conduct and are bound by strict rules of confidentiality.

I am a member of the British Society Of Clinical Hypnosis, a professional body whose aim is to promote and assure high standards and ethical practice.

I have full Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Indemnity Insurance.
